Scripture Tuesday: Psalms 128:1

Hey everyone! Sorry I took another extended break… things have been busy lately, despite being under quarantine. There are so many things to do around the house y’know? I have unfortunately allowed this to get forgotten in the midst of everything going on, but once again, I am going to attempt to revive it, so thank all of you subscribers for staying with me, I really appreciate it!

For today’s Scripture Tuesday, I decided to do a Psalms. Specifically, Psalms 128:1. I would do the whole Psalm, but it’s eight verses, and this first verse sums up what the chapter is about.

Psalms 128: 1 “Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.”

It goes on to state how the Lord will bless those who fear Him — he will eat the fruit of his labour, he shall be happy, things will go well with him, his family will prosper and multiply, and he will have long life!

Now does this mean that a Christian who fears the Lord will never have any trials or troubles? No! But it does mean that through the trials, the Lord will be with us, and if we remain God-fearing through them, like Job did in the Bible book bearing his name, then we will be blessed even more afterwards, just as he was! Ultimately, the greatest blessing will be to spend eternity forever with our Lord!

In this time of uncertainly and emergency in the world, let’s stop and just thank God for all the blessings we do have in our lives!

God bless! ~ C.G
